Can’t touch your toes?

Have you “never” been able to touch your toes? Well this may be the exercise for you.  I have been seeing great success in my patients who “have tight hamstrings”.  Within a minute or two I have seen my chiropractic patients significantly increasing there toe touching ability.  All you need is a 2 x 4 and a pillow of a foam roller.

Here is how you do it

  1. Place your toes on the 2×4 with your legs straight and the foam roller/pillow between your knees.  The reason you need the pillow/foam roller is that there is a tendency for people to knock their knees.  Reach down and touch your toes. If you can’t touch your to the bend your knees to touch your toes. Repeat this 10 times.
  2. Now place your heels on the 2×4 and toes on the ground.  Reach down and touch your toes and if you can’t then bend your knees. Repeat 10 times.
  3. Step off the board and check to see how much you have improved.

Did you give it a try?  Did it improve your toe touching ability?
